With Citadel: Forged with Fire, Blue Isle Studios have delivered a real milestone in fantasy sandbox games. It's not just super stunning, thanks to the UE4 Engine, it also runs extremely smoothly. The magical world of Ignus is built with real passion and many sandbox games should take a leaf out of their book. Citadel is an open world sandbox game; in this case, it’s a mix of Skyrim and Ark and a huge world full of magic, dragons and powerful wizards. Everything takes place against a backdrop of amazing scenery, but also gameplay elements like taming beasts and mounts or castle/base building are an integral part of Citadel: Forged with Fire. The mix of genres is a tough task for the developers because of the high expectations of hardcore Skyrim and ARK fans, but Citadel is the right on the money.
